Welcome to Colorado's Guide to Sports and Recreation
Colorado is one state but many lands. The eastern third is flatter than your kitchen table, a realm of small towns and family farms. In the heart of the state rise the impossibly high and beautiful Rockies, rugged and supreme. West of the Continental Divide the land dips low again, fractured and dry, cleaved by desert canyons and redstone spires. These disparate kingdoms sustain an even broader range of cultures. Cattlemen, farmers, miners, railroad men, and big-city business barons have their places here, alongside expert fly fishermen, hikers and bikers, river runners, photographers, artists, and dreamers. Colorado is young, but it holds the ruins of America's oldest civilization; it is rustic, but it harbors world-class resorts and one of the nation's most vibrant cities. The only way to capture this state's dizzying diversity is to break it in seven. Each of the regions designated here has a personality as distinct as any state's. But they are all Colorado.
Unparalleled beauty, endless trails to hike, world class mountain biking, vast stretches of Gold Medal fly fishing waters, exciting nightlife, great skiing, and mother natures best scenery!
